What time does it start and end?
The event will take place from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM local time, so be sure to adjust the time based on your location.
What can I expect?
During the event, you’ll encounter more Electric-type Pokemon in the wild, including:
- Pikachu
- Magnemite
- Voltorb
- Electrike
- Blitzle
- Joltik
- Helioptile
- And many more!
What about shiny Pokemon?
The best part? The chances of encountering shiny versions of these Pokemon will be boosted during the event, so keep your eyes peeled for those rare sparkles!
Timed Research: More chances to catch!
Want even more chances to catch your favorite Electric-type Pokemon? You can purchase a Timed Research ticket for $1 (or the equivalent in your local currency). This ticket will grant you access to a special research questline with tasks that reward encounters with featured Pokemon of your choice. Choose between Chinchou, Electrike, Blitzle, Joltik, or Helioptile and complete the tasks to add them to your collection!
Important points to remember:
- Timed Research tasks and rewards must be completed by the end of the event (5:00 PM local time) on March 3rd.
- You can purchase and gift Timed Research tickets to friends who are Great Friends or higher in your friendship level.
- The event and Timed Research are optional and not required to play Pokemon Go.
