Drake recently won a significant amount of money on a sports bet
Drake recently won a significant amount of money on a sports bet. However, it’s important to be accurate and respectful when discussing this and similar topics.
As one of the biggest stars in the world, it is still a wonder why Drake continues to gamble. And yet the rap sensation has netted some massive winnings. Drake’s biggest ever bet saw him win a huge amount of money.
Confirmed Details:
- Placed a parlay bet: On February 4, 2024, Drake wagered $2,296,211.30 on two UFC 284 fights: Paddy Pimblett and Molly McCann winning their respective matches.
- Bet successful: Both Pimblett and McCann emerged victorious, resulting in a payout of $3,723,077 for Drake.
- Shared his bet slip: He posted a screenshot of his bet slip on social media, further amplifying the news.
Unconfirmed Details:
- Exact amount won: Due to potential exchange rate fluctuations and taxes, the exact amount received might differ slightly from the reported payout.
- Impact on Drake’s finances: It’s impossible to determine the financial significance of this win for someone of Drake’s wealth.
Respectful Reporting:
- Avoid sensationalizing: Describing the win as “huge” is subjective and lacks context. Consider mentioning the specific amount wagered and won instead.
- Focus on facts: Stick to confirmed details and avoid speculation about Drake’s motivations or financial situation.
- Promote responsible gambling: While news about celebrity bets can be engaging, remember that gambling can be risky and addictive. Avoid promoting excessive or irresponsible gambling behavior
Now, if you had a million dollars would you go to Vegas and put everything on red?
Or more realistically, would you whip out your phone and put down some green on a winner for a major sporting event.
Well, if you are Drake – who is currently trending after he responded to an X-rated video allegedly of himself – that is exactly what you do, and do regularly.
Admittedly, the rap star has more than a fair bit of spare cash that I’m sure he could part with if he really had to.
In 2022, he shared with his fans just how much he was able to win after a brazen bet that incorporated two UFC bouts in London.
In July of that year, Paddy ‘The Baddy’ Pimblett and Jordan Leavitt faced off in the octagon. In addition to this, Molly McCann was facing off against Hannah Goldy.
Drake was more than a little bit invested in the two fights as he put down $2,296,211.30 on both Pimblett and McCann to win.
After the pair won, Drake received a payout of a whopping $3,723,077 and shared his betting slip to his social media with the caption: “A scousers parlay.”
Following the win, McCann took to Instagram to request Drake buy her a Rolex and to her surprise he agreed, saying he would get one for her and Pimblett.
After just a month, Drake stuck to his word and Pimblett shared a video of his gratitude.
“Oh s**t Belter! Thank you very much. Nice one for that Drake, thank you very much for that. He said he’d get us a Rolex and he’s got us one,” he said
“He would’ve been able to get us a better watch if he bet with Barstool, he would’ve got more money. But thank you very much really appreciate that, lad. Nice one.”
Not only was this a massive win for Drake but it spat in the face of the dreaded internet phenomenon known as the ‘Drake Curse’.
Additional Notes:
- This isn’t Drake’s first significant sports bet win. He has a history of placing large wagers on various sporting events.
- Gambling laws and regulations vary depending on location. Make sure you understand the legal landscape before placing any bets.
